1. Agreement
By using DuskTranslate, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service
DuskTranslate provides a browser workspace for importing source books, sending selected text to an AI provider, editing translations, maintaining a glossary, and exporting work. Features may change while the product is under development. Translation output is machine-generated and requires human review.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of account information, protecting access to your account, and activity performed through it. Do not share credentials or attempt to access another user's projects. We may suspend access to protect users, providers, or the service.
4. User Content and AI Providers
You retain responsibility for your books, prompts, glossary entries, and translations. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload and process them. When you start a translation, content is sent to the provider selected in the editor. Provider terms, quotas, safety filters, retention, and output behavior apply separately.
5. API Keys
You supply your own provider keys. DuskTranslate is designed to keep them in the current editor session and does not include them in project snapshots. You are responsible for key restrictions, usage charges, rate limits, and immediate rotation if a key is exposed. Never commit a key to source control or paste it into a project.
6. Acceptable Use
Do not use the service to violate law or intellectual-property rights, transmit malware, evade provider safety or rate limits, attack the service, probe other accounts, or process content without authorization. Do not rely on machine output for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions.
7. Availability and Backups
The service is provided during an evolving personal-project phase and may be unavailable or change without notice. Browser storage is not a backup. Download project backups and keep copies of source material you need. We are not responsible for provider outages, quota exhaustion, browser data loss, or unsupported files.
8. Subscriptions Placeholder
No paid subscription is enabled by this version. Before adding billing, publish pricing, renewal, cancellation, taxes, refunds, trial rules, usage limits, customer support, invoice details, and the legal identity of the merchant.
9. Intellectual Property
The DuskTranslate software, brand, and original interface are owned by the operator or its licensors. These Terms grant you permission to use the service, not ownership of the software or brand.
10. Disclaimers and Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service and generated output are provided without promises of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Any limitation of liability, consumer rights, indemnity, and warranty language must be reviewed for the operator's actual jurisdiction and customer type.
